Drawing

Many of the products shown here emerge from the process of drawing and research.
Some of our concept artists are cognitively diseased, as you could probably tell.

The Special Relationship - Coup d'état Group - Eisenhower

The Special Relationship: work in progress
Coup d'état Group - Eisenhower

Planning for an area satirizing the Coup d'état of Mossadegh in 1953. This was when Churchill and Eisenhower decided it would be a great idea to overthrow the democratically elected leader of Iran so the U.S. could seize control of their oil production. Gee, is it any wonder Islamic nations are pissed?

I think Iranians like Ike, about as much as Native Americans like Andrew Jackson and Zachary Taylor... Not to mention Nixon and his successors

My Mossadegh is coming up, but I'm not satisfied with the one I have right now.

Winston's blurry... I'll have to fire the photographer.

Alan Greenspan: Pestilence

The Special Relationship: work in progress

Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse group

Alan Greenspan = Pestilence

Thinking of having him pinching Henry Paulson in the buttcheeks, with a dribble of oil coming out of his mouth. He'll probably have a wad of 20 dollar bills, representing Andrew Jackson (Indian Removal Act of 1830). This could represent the government's interest in removing the middle class or exploiting other cultures for the sake of the "free market". Take, for example the Taiwanese, many who currently attempt to work multiple jobs on no sleep, just to survive on slave wages and amphetamines. What do they make? The computer on which you are reading this paragraph... Metaphorically, it represents the spread of bad ideas.

Tim Geithner: Death

The Special Relationship: work in progress

Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse group

Tim Geithner = Death

An example of how in "Corporate Amerika", one gets promoted to their own uniqe level of incompetence. The guy couldn't figure out how to pay his taxes, so they decided he would be a good candidate to chair the National Treasury. I made him look a little more like Nosferatu than he does normally. He's scary looking, the guy has no eyebrows!

Ben Bernanke: Famine

The Special Relationship: work in progress

Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse group

Ben Bernanke = Famine

For a while, I thought this guy was ok. He's in charge of wasting more money on banks than anyone in history. Who has to pay for it? You and me! As Geithner would say, "Welcome to the Recovery". Since the "recovery" more independent businesses have flopped and the unemployment rate continues to rise. Good stuff. Must mean we're not giving the banks enough money...

Can't we go back to the economic and political stability of the 50's, where you could implant CIA moles in the middle east, overthrow a democratically elected physician and place a puppet dictator in order to run direct oil pipelines straight to home plate?

Henry Paulson: War

The Special Relationship: work in progress

Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse group

Henry Paulson = War

Obviously, Hank will be projectile vomiting oil all over the place. I mean, look at the facial expression! He'll also be in the likeness of RoboCop (without the slick helmet piece). Artificial intelligence is never to be trusted. Science Fiction taught us that.

We are no longer a government by free opinion, no longer a government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by the opinion and the duress of small groups of dominant men.

Figurative Drawing

Sketch of Vladimir Poopin, looking flabbergasted.

Figurative Drawing

Sketch of Vladimir Poopin.

Abstract Composition

These non-objective drawings form the basis for some synesthesia animation works. This drawing formed the backdrop for a stop-motion film called Papir za Drek. It was photographed in Slovenija in 2000. I remember liking the proportions in which they cut their paper.

Landscape Drawing

No Description. Archetypal image somehow. This was part of a series of images that were drawn as an animated transition. There were about 48 of these in all. I have piles of these hand drawn still animation drawings....

Figurative Drawing

No Description. Archetypal image somehow. Woman holding a bunny, may have been inspired by Joseph Beuys.
