The Long Lost Friend

I have been slowly developing a compilation of acoustic guitar works. The title "The Long Lost Friend", is derived from a story that is associated with the town of my origins, York PA.

This area of the Northeastern United States has a rich history involving practitioners of witchcraft and faith healing. The unfortunate murder of Nelson Rehmeyer, in 1928, was the apparent culmination of a culture of mass hysteria, part of the religious and superstitious subculture of this area, around that time.

I find this metaphor to be a relevant one today. Politicians, voters, religious fanatics and basic regular folks are pressured to act without thinking, usually with disastrous results.
