This show features a number of artworks that explore how people interact with and understand the various worlds we inhabit. My contention is that understanding is brought about through interaction and meditation. Therefore, much of my practice as an artist involves the incorporation of various artistic disciplines, interaction design, and other research.

The artworks in this show are designed to promote interaction from a person visiting the various spaces the artworks inhabit. Traditionally, the word "viewer" is ascribed to someone who visits a museum or gallery and touching or interacting with works of art is forbidden. I prefer to use the word "participant" when discussing works of art. In my case, the artworks need someone to activate them or to interact with them so that that meaning can be communicated in some fashion. A participant becomes part of a performance or a dialog when interacting with a work of art in this case.
