Tone chasing. So, all of the volume pedals on the market operate the same exact way. They deaden the tone of the guitar before it gets to the amplifier. The potentiometers in the guitar do that well enough. So I am embarking on an alternative solution. Adjust the volume of the amplifier, mechanically. I am guessing that the majority of guitarists that buy volume pedals are interested in the sound coming from the effects pedals, as opposed to the tone of the guitar. So, most of the volume pedals on the market seem to be just fine for that. I find it to be a nuisance.
2013.12.14 - works like a charm. May revise the foot pedal some, but it's exactly what the doctor ordered.
